Yesterday (December 10), FlyLo Tweeted that his new album is set for release in 2014 and is currently “almost ready for mixing”.
The album will be the follow-up to 2012’s ‘Until The Quiet Comes’. A separate album, under the guise of his rapping alter-ego Captain Murphy is also in the works.
In a stream of tweets, he also confirmed that he is working with jazz legend Herbie Hancock. While it isn’t clear whether Hancock will appear on the Flying Lotus album, in one tweet FlyLo described the album as having a “jazz feel”.
The producer also wrote that while he is currently unsigned, he is still in ongoing negotiations with his previous label Warp.
