Data compiled by live music tracking site Songkick calculates which band puts in the most effort by shows played and miles covered. Having played 188 shows and covered nearly 200,000 miles, LA’s Local Natives top the list.

The top three are:

Local Natives (188 shows, 192,486 miles)
Kendrick Lamar (171 shows, 229,583 miles)
Alt-J (164 shows, 251,443 miles)

Earlier this year, Songkick named rapper Kendrick Lamar (pictured above right), who takes the number two spot, the hardest working artist of the festival season, having performed for 2760 minutes over 46 festivals, racking up an estimated 870cm of artists’ wristbands.

With the end-of-year data, Songkick also found that there’s been a 15 per cent increase in the distances travelled by the world’s biggest acts in 2013.

Local Natives released their second album, ‘Hummingbird’, on January 28, 2013. The follow-up to their 2010 debut ‘Gorilla Manor’ was produced by the band alongside Aaron Dessner of The National and recorded in Montreal and Brooklyn.
