Not everyone is a fan of Rihanna’s revealing outfits. TLC has criticized the “Diamonds” singer for being overtly sexual, and Rihanna is not taking it lightly.
Following a sold-out show in Sydney on their first Australian tour, Tionne “T-Boz” Watkins and Rozonda “Chilli” Thomas were asked about sexed-up pop stars like Rihanna, who recently made headlines for her nearly-nude gown at the CFDA Awards.
“Everytime I see you, you don’t have to be naked,” T-Boz told Channel Seven’s “Sunrise.” “And it’s hard for us to say anything ’cause anytime we say anything, ‘Ooh, TLC. They must be jealous.’”
T-Boz continued, “First of all, it is what it is. I call a spade a spade. We’ve sold and became the biggest girl-selling group of all time with our clothes on. That says a lot. It’s easy to sell sex. We can go around with booby cakes out all day long.”
Rihanna got word of the interview and clapped back on Twitter. “When there’s no changing the fact that I’m me, and they’re well…they’re them,” she tweeted along with a photo of her sticking her tongue out.
She also changed her Twitter header to an old image of the “No Scrubs” hitmakers posing topless.
T-Boz went on the defense after being attacked by Rihanna fans on social media. “Last time I checked I didn’t say no bodies name the interview lady did shit I’m out of the country lol I didn’t even see pics,” she said. “how did I get dragged in2 talkin about some1 I like I don’t care what my opinion is I’m gonna say what I want at least get what I say right.”
Just last month, Rihanna got into a Twitter feud with Charlie Sheen after the singer reportedly refused to meet with the actor and his fiancée at an L.A. restaurant.
