David Bowie is set to release a brand new album ‘soon’, according to his long-time producer Tony Visconti.

“There’s gonna be another album, definitely… soon,” said Visconti, writes CNN. When asked if Bowie would be touring in support of the new release, Visconti commented: “I don’t think he’s gonna busk in the tube… on the Underground. As far as a concert is concerned I have no idea. He clearly didn’t promote ‘The Next Day’ with a concert and whether he does for the next one I don’t know and I couldn’t predict that – it’s up to him. It’s whatever takes his fancy.”

This new album is to be in addition to a career-spanning greatest hits album, ‘Nothing Has Changed’, which will come in November, with brand new song ‘Sue (Or In A Season Of Crime)’ included on the tracklisting.

The song was recorded earlier this year and was produced by Visconti and is the only new material on ‘Nothing Has Changed’, which begins with Bowie’s first single ‘Liza Jane’ and includes material from the subsequent decades, including hit singles ‘Ziggy Stardust’ and ‘Life On Mars?’.

‘Sue (Or In A Season Of Crime)’, will also be released as a limited-edition 10″ single and digital download the same day as the album via Parlophone in the UK on November 17. The 10″ will also feature another exclusive 2014 recording on the B-side: ”Tis A Pity She’s A Whore’.

September 23 will see the arrival of Bowie retrospective exhibition ‘David Bowie Is…’ at Chicago’s Museum Of Contemporary Art and the city’s mayor, Rahm Emanuel, has declared the day as officially belonging to the musician. In a proclamation, Bowie is hailed as “an undisputed global icon boasting a catalogue of 26 critically acclaimed studio albums,” whose “remarkable half-century career has bridged cultures and faiths while both transcending and fortifying the music, art, fashion & design, and theatrical canons.”
