Last week, we premiered the video of a string quartet playing “Bubble Butt” by Major Lazer with Diplo in the audience. The video was recorded at the RECESS Music and Ideas Festival at the University of the Pacific in Stockton, California. The festival featured entrepreneurs speaking to students during “study halls,” as well as a concert portion. Diplo headlined both parts of the festival.
Below, we’ve included three of the best YouTube clips of Diplo’s study hall session. Along with Bob Moczydlowsky, the Head of Music at Twitter, Diplo discusses major labels and his production process.
According to their biography, “RECESS is a college music and ideas festival that brings together successful entrepreneurs, the coolest new startups, and hottest acts in music to inspire the next generation of world changing entrepreneurs.” It is an awesome event that has the power to help college students achieve their entrepreneurial goals.
