NEW CHEMICAL BROTHERS ALBUM SET FOR 2015

The Chemical Brothers have announced that they have a new album in the works, and it’s due to be released at some point in the new year.

Speaking to Barcelona’s Sónar festival, Tom Rowlands said: “The most important feature of the album is that it connects with us emotionally in some way. We hope for finding a new way to make you feel. We dream of new sounds and different frames. We have worked with some guest singers but mostly the album is pure Chemical Brothers.”

The as-yet-unnamed record will be the boys’ first studio album since they scored the British-German film Hannah in 2011, and the announcement follows last week’s news that brother Ed would be retreating from his live commitments to pursue his studies. And while we might have to get used to seeing a lone Tom Rowlands dishing it out onstage for a while, Ed assured us that he’s heavily involved in creating the new record.
