POLICE SEIZE OVER 400 'SUPERMAN' PILLS

Police have seized over 400 pills, believed to be from a batch related to four deaths in Suffolk and Shropshire.

BBC News reports that the pills, stamped with a Superman logo, were found in a “public place” in Ipswich on Sunday, with Suffolk Police calling it a “significant discovery”.

The pills are said to have caused the deaths of Justas Ropas, 22, on Christmas Eve while Gediminas Kulokas, 24, John Hocking, 20, and a 27-year-old from Telford both died on New Year’s Day.

A 19-year-old man from Ipswich appeared before magistrates earlier today, accused of supplying class A drugs, and is due to appear at Ipswich Crown Court on January 15. Two others arrested on similar charges have been released on bail.

Police are asking anyone in possession of the ‘Superman’ pills, thought to contain PMA (phenoxymethylamphetamine), to dispose of them or hand them in.
