Believe it or not, Sony has unveiled a brand-new Walkman at CES 2015.
But this wasn’t a misplaced ’80s throwback — the new Walkman ZX2 is designed with serious audiophiles in mind. According to the Verge, it supports a wide range of formats, including DSD, WAV, AIFF, FLAC, and Apple Lossless. Sony called it “the fruit of continuous refinement in high audio quality technologies,” which apparently means something. So if you really want to hear every single immaculate detail of your favorite song, you’re in luck! And it’ll only cost you $1,200! At that price it would be fiscally irresponsible not to buy one.
