Oscars: Rita Ora to Perform “Grateful”

Rita Ora has joined the lineup of performers at the upcoming Academy Awards ceremony.

The singer will perform the Oscar-nominated song “Grateful” at the 87th annual show.

“The mixture of her incredible voice and glamour makes a perfect combination for our show,” said show producers Craig Zadan and Neil Meron.

The tune, written by Diane Warren for the film Beyond the Lights, is nominated for best original song, marking Warren’s seventh Oscar nom in this category.

As previously announced, Adam Levine will perform the nominated song “Lost Stars” from Begin Again, while Common and John Legend will perform their nominated son “Glory” from Selma. The other songs nominated in the category are “Everything Is Awesome” from The Lego Movie and “I’m Not Gonna Miss You” from Glen Campbell … I’ll Be Me.

The Oscars, hosted by Neil Patrick Harris, will air on Sunday, February 22, live on ABC
 from the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood.

Ora’s second full-length album will be released this spring. She also has roles in the upcoming movies Fifty Shades of Grey and Southpaw, opposite Jake Gyllenhaal.
