On Wednesday (Jan. 28), Paxahau Events announced the phase-one lineup for Movement Electronic Music Festival’s tenth edition, bringing a diverse roster of dance talents to Detroit this spring.
Richie Hawtin, DJ Snoopadelic and Dog Blood, the collaborative project between Skrillex and Boys Noize, will headline the festival.
Other announced acts include Disclosure, Loco Dice, Tuskegee (Seth Troxler b2b the Martinez Brothers), Luciano and Dixon, as well as hometown heroes Carl Craig, Kevin Saunderson, and MK (Marc Kinchen).
“This year’s lineup is a diverse group of legends, underground heroes and rising talent who have all been inspired by Detroit and its musical legacy at some point in their career,” says Paxahau artist coordinator Chuck Flask.
Widely embraced by the city where techno was born, Movement remains one of the longest-running independent music festivals in the country.
“Detroit sets the tone for the world, and we are going to be very cautious to anything presented to us that doesn’t put the city first,” says Paxahau founder Jason Huvaere.
Movement Electronic Music Festival 2015 will take place from May 23-25 at Detroit’s Hart Plaza.
