HBO announced that the mixtape will arrive on March 17th and feature Anthrax, Estelle, Killswitch Engage, Mastodon, Melanie Fiona, Method Man, Snoop Dogg, Talib Kweli and Ty Dolla $ign, among others. Listen to Talib Kweli’s “Lord of the Light.”

Game of Thrones is set to return with its fifth season on April 12th, and to get music fans ready for another 10 episodes of bloody power struggles in Westeros, HBO plans on releasing the second volume of their Catch the Throne: The Mixtape in March in the lead-up to the season premiere. This time around, rappers like Snoop Dogg and Method Man will contribute tracks alongside metal acts like Anthrax and Killswitch Engage to weave a free mixtape that plays on the series’ themes of fire and ice.

Snoop Dogg, who provides stoned recaps of the HBO show for his GGN web series, said in a statement, “Off the top, I love Game of Thrones – I even gave my expert analysis of this season on my GGN show. It’s like the rap game, it’s gangster, about family, loyalty and trying to get to the top. I had to get involved. Give the fans a little bit of how I see it.”

Catch the Throne: The Mixtape, Vol. 2 will feature 15 tracks that sample music from the fourth season of the Emmy-winning fantasy series based on George R.R. Martin’s A Song of Fire and Ice series. Each artist will represent one of the power-hungry families at the heart of Game of Thrones‘ story.

“As fans of Game of Thrones, we are extremely excited to collaborate on this project,” Anthrax’s Scott Ian said in a statement. “Recording a song about the Lannister family allows us to connect more with our fans and Game of Thrones fans in a way we would have never imagined.”

Volume One of Catch the Throne, which was streamed over 2.5 million times, featured tracks by Big Boi, Daddy Yankee, Common and Wale.
