Pandora Joins Handful of Apple Watch's Launch-Ready Music Apps

Pandora, along with a handful of other music-related apps, will be available on Apple’s imminently launching Watch, according to a blog post from the company. Pandora was an early entrant on the iPhone as well, having been given a prototype ahead of the revolutionary device’s launch, according to company co-founder Tim Westergren.

The streaming radio service’s Watch app will, like most others, rely on a tethered iPhone for any actual functionality (though the device is, as Apple touts, an incredibly precise timepiece). The app allows users to control the Pandora app on their phones via their wrist.

While Pandora is the only streaming service so far to announce a Watch app pre-launch, it’s not the only music-related app that will be available on the device’s first day in the wider world. Shazam will be available to display the song you’re tagging on your iPhone, AMPLIFi Remote will allow you to tune and tone your axe, and Pacemaker DJ (not as scary as it sounds) will allow to skip tracks playing from your iTunes library on your… yep, iPhone.
