Bandzoogle Now Reporting to SoundScan

Bandzoogle now reports its direct-to-consumer sales to Nielsen SoundScan, giving artists that use service the chance to appear on the Billboard charts such as the Billboard 200 album chart.

Some Bandzoogle artists are likely to generate enough sales to land on a Billboard chart, CEO David Dufresne tells Billboard. “Many of our users are well established, cult-status bands, and Grammy nominees.”

The 11-year old, Montreal-based company provides a cloud-based service for easily building and maintaining a website and online store. Customers pay different monthly or annual fee based on level of service and features.

A new addition is Bandzoogle’s Pro plan. The $19.95-per-month advanced plan offers inventory tracking, album pre-orders, sale pricing, the ability to create unlimited download codes and the ability to sell ebooks, videos and other non-music digital files. In addition, the new plan has no limits on file sizes, data storage, pages or mailing list members.

Bandzoogle also recently added integrations with Bandcamp, PledgeMusic, SoundCloud, Instagram and Bandsintown that allows its customers to seamlessly integrate these services into their websites. [Billboard]
