A list of moves and shakes across the music business, including iHeartMedia’s, Def Jam, The Agency Group, UTA, Warner/Chappell and more!

The Agency Group tapped sports marketing executive Tom May for its business development and brand integration division.

— Former Primary Talent agent Cris Hearn joined Coda Music Agency as a senior agent. Hearn will bring a roster that includes Mark Ronson, Hudson Mohawke, and Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs.

— The British Academy of Songwriters, Composers and Authors appointed Dan Moore as head of marketing and membership. Moore joins from anti-piracy and online content protection company MUSO, where he served as head of music.

— Former CAA agent Harold Frogét joined UTA in their comedy and music touring division.

— Warner/Chappell promoted Katie Vinten to VP of A&R. She previously served as director, A&R.

— ReverbNation entered the music publishing arena with the launch of CONNECT Songs, a new platform to provide administration services under a revenue sharing model with its artists. The first artists to benefit from the new division will be members of ReverbNation’s artist development incubator CONNECT.

— Ministry of Sound announced two senior appointments: Alexis James as commercial director and Matthew Kershaw as group marketing director.

Epic Rights announced the promotion of Lisa Streff to executive VP of global licensing, rising from her role as senior VP of licensing.

LyricFind named Robert Singerman VP of international publishing. Singerman will open and spearhead the company’s New York office.

Spotify appointed James Duffett-Smith as its global head of publisher relations, rising from his role as head of licensing business affairs.

WQHT Hot 97 FM appointed Megan Ryte as an on-air personality. Ryte will relocate to New York from Houston, where she has worked for stations including KMJW and KBXX, as well as an on-air talent and digital producer for Fox 26 TV.

Vevo appointed DawBell PR (the BRIT Awards, Take That) for a consumer and trade media brief. The music video hosting service also hired Dot Levine, formerly of UK Music, as their UK comms manager.

— Former Mercury Nashville senior director of media Kevin Lane joined the Webster Public Relations team.

Faisel Durrani joined Def Jam as executive VP/GM, arriving from Beyonce’s Parkwood Entertainment, where he served as president.

The Agency Group appointed Nick Pampenella to the company’s speakers and curated events division.

Warner Bros. Records appointed Liz Lewis VP of creative synch licensing for advertising and Lila Gerson VP of brand partnerships. Lewis previously served as VP of video marketing and promotion, while Gerson was senior director, brand partnerships.

Scott Hopeck was named president of iHeartMedia‘s New York market, rising from his role as market president for iHeartMedia Phoenix.

PledgeMusic appointed Scott Hueston as head of artist solutions, North America.

— Former CBS and Microsoft executive Nancy Tellem joined Interlude as executive chairman and chief media officer.

Inertia Group appointed Meg Williams head of promotions. Previously, Williams was co-director of Spark & Opus, where she launched the company’s publicity arm.

Culture Factory USA appointed Ed Franke general manager

Steel Wool Entertainment announced that music executive and manager Fabienne Leys has partnered with the company and joined their management team. Leys will merge her full roster from her previous firm, Chapter Five Management.
