The heartbroken formula that beguiled the world is back.
The first new track from Adele since 2012’s one-off single Skyfall was teased on UK TV last night – and she’s not happy.
A 30-second ad revealed the lyrics: ‘Hello… It’s me… I was wondering if after all these years you’d like to meet… to go over everything… They say time’s supposed to heal ya… but I ain’t done much healing.’
Adele’s third album, the follow up to 2011’s record-breaking 21, is expected to be released on Friday, November 20.
The new track appeared during the ad break of the X Factor on ITV last night.

Adele’s new album is expected to feature co-writers including Max Martin, Tobias Jesso Jr, Danger Mouse and Ryan Tedder, who co-wrote her single Rumour Has It.
Adele’s second album, 21, has sold more than 30m copies worldwide, with more than 14m in the US alone.
The artist is signed to Beggars/XL for the world, but her catalogue is licensed to Columbia for the American market.
