Adele 2015

With less than 24 hours to go before Adele‘s third album 25 arrives, it seems we finally know if the insanely anticipated LP will be available for streaming. Sadly for those who have shuffled off the CD/mp3 coil, 25 will not be available on the major streaming services come tomorrow’s (Nov. 20) drop date.

Citing “three people with direct knowledge of the plans for the release,” New York Times reports 25 won’t appear on Apple Music, Spotify or any of the big streaming services. Billboard can confirm 25 won’t be on Spotify tomorrow. We’ve reached out to Adele’s rep for information about other streaming services.

That’s sure to increase 25‘s chances of breaking *NSYNC’s record for the biggest first-week sales of the Nielsen/SoundScan era (1991-present). Yesterday, Billboard reported Columbia will ship about 3.6 million copies of 25 in the U.S., with the LP primed to sell 2.5 million in its debut week, if industry predictions are correct. That would put her ahead of the boy band’s 2.415 million first-week sales for No Strings Attached — an especially impressive feat given that overall record sales were significantly higher 15 years ago.
