While details are still forming, Banks’ new representation became public knowledge late Tuesday night (April 17).

She is currently gearing up to drop a much-anticipated debut album around late summer. Banks’ first full-length album, Broke with Expensive Taste, is expected to hit stores in September. The rapper shot to stardom late in 2011 with her self-released single “212,” and she recently played a very well-received set at the Coachella festival. (Rolling Stone)

Earlier this month, Philadelphia rap veteran Eve co-signed Banks’ talent in a recent interview. “I like Azealia Banks. I think her style is dope. If you listen to her lyrics, she knows how to wordplay and I think that’s cute. I’m not really into the Iggy Azalea chick. I can’t really f*ck with her music, but her look is crazy. Recently, Banks downplayed receiving mainstream accolades by the likes of such entertainers as Kanye West and Gwyneth Paltrow. The Harlem-born 20-year-old seems almost aggressively unastonished by the attention. “I definitely have more money [now] and sh*t,” she admits, “but that’s all virtual stuff. I’ve been making music for a while. And I could read about myself on the Internet for a while.” And meeting the likes of Kanye? “It’s cool, but they’re just people.
