After the recent death of Beastie Boy member Adam “MCA” Yauch, Beastie Boys’ album and song catalog has been surging.
This week, their album “Licensed to Ill” returned to the chart’s top 20 at No. 18 with 19,000 sold according to Nielsen SoundScan. The album was the first rap album to take the No. 1 spot on the Billboard 200 chart back in 1987 and held that title for seven weeks.
