Young Jeezy & Def Jam Sued For $5 Million By Business Partner

Def Jam and Young Jeezy have been sued by his Corporate Thugz Entertainment (or CTE) business partner Demetrius Ellerbee. He claims that he is owed $5 million in unpaid profits from both the label and Jeezy. The suit states that Ellerbee saw a small amount of money from the various advances and royalties paid to Jeezy and CTE.

And while the suit names $5 million as the amount, Ellerbee’s attorney, Mario Breedlove, said it will be much higher than that once all the royalties and interest figures are sorted out. Breedlove added the following to the Atlanta Journal-Constitutional:

“They were partners. They started the company together. They grew the company together. And he’s entitled to one-half.”
