Veteran label exec Scott Seviour has been named EVP Marketing & Artist Development at Epic Records, reporting to label COO Mark Shimmel. Seviour will develop marketing strategies for label artists, overseeing brand partnerships, publicity, video production, creative, digital, artist development and making sure L.A. Reid’s cuff links match. Seviour comes to the label from RCA Music Group, where he was SVP Artist Development. He was also one of the first hires at Clive Davis’ J Records in 2001 as VP Marketing and Artist Development. He was previously Entertainment Producer at ABC’s Good Morning America, worked as Director, Talent Development & Music Programming for the Disney Channel, and before that as Manager, Talent Relations; Nickelodeon and Nick at Nite’s TV Land. Commented Seviour: “The environment that L.A. is creating for our diverse roster of artists and executives is unmatched in the industry, and I am really honored to be part of the Epic team.
