Jay-Z and Kayne have apparently settled the copyright lawsuit filed by R & B legend Syl Johnson, who claimed Kanye sampled his 1967 hit “Different Strokes” without proper permission. According to Johnson, who has filed similar lawsuits against artists such as Cypress Hill and Michael Jackson, Kayne wanted the sample for his My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy album, but couldn’t get the clearance in time, so he transferred it as a bonus track to Watch The Throne.
