We previously reported that online video-sharing site YouTube was going to be cracking down on record labels who have been found to “fake views” on their artist’s music videos, and the latest musician to feel wrath is none other than Lady Gaga. The international super-star has been stripped of 156 million views from her official YouTube account. The online video-streaming service is looking to clean up the fraudulent views, which can lead to profits for the artists through advertisements. Gaga isn’t the only artist to be affected by the newly implemented viewcount policy, other notable artists include Michael Jackson, Chris Brown and Beyonce. Let us know your thoughts down below, as we’ll be sure to keep you up to date as more information is shared.
