In the ‘80s and ‘90s, he served as an International Marketing executive with EMI based in London and Milan, Italy. In his new post, he will be based in Hollywood at the Capitol Records Tower. Commented Jubelirer: “Piero’s experience in the indie world, as well as his years and varied resume within major label systems, makes him the perfect person to re-launch and lead Harvest.” Added Giramonti: “Harvest has always been known as the home of progressive, culturally-provocative, left-of-center, and ahead-of-the-curve artists, and that is the tradition we will continue. Now, will someone order candles and flowers for my office?” Among the acts on the prog-rock label over the years were Pink Floyd,Syd Barrett, Wire and the late Kevin Ayers. [HitsDailyDouble]
