Developer Taylor Holliday has released Audulus 2.3 for iPad and Mac, updating the modular synth with new capabilities for creating polyphonic synth patches.

“Audulus is the only polyphonic modular synthesizer on iOS,” says Audulus developer Taylor Holliday. “And now with our souped-up polyphonic sub-patches in Audulus 2.3, we’re moving toward being able to express an entire polyphonic synthesizer within a sub-patch.”

In Audulus 2.3, sub-patches operate like visual groupings of nodes. This means that instead of the entire sub-patch being replicated per-voice, polyphonic connections are carried through. As a consequence, you can now have a sub-patch with monophonic input and polyphonic output (or vice versa).

Audulus is available for iPad in the App Store and Macintosh in the Mac App Store.
