Dave Grohl discusses Zac Brown Band collaboration
Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl has spoken out about collaborating with country act the Zac Brown Band at the Country Music Awards in November of this year.

Speaking to Access Hollywood at the Napa Valley Film Festival, he commented of his appearance: “I actually told my wife before I went there, I’m like ‘hey babe, I’m gonna go to the CMAs, I’m gonna steal the fucking show’.”

Grohl also spoke about working and recording with Paul McCartney whilst making his documentary Sound City. “After a couple of minutes, it dawned on me that this is the first time that Pat [Smear] and Krist [Novoselic] and I have written a song since Kurt [Cobain] died and Paul was there too,” he commented. “So it was one of the most magical experiences of my life. There’s the birth of my children, there’s my wedding, some beautiful moments in my life, but can you fucking imagine?”

Dave Grohl has produced and played drums on ‘The Grohl Sessions Vol. 1’, a new album by country act the Zac Brown Band. Grohl recently made an appearance at the Country Music Awards with the Zac Brown Band on November 6, performing new track ‘Day For The Dead’ at the Nashville bash. ‘The Grohl Sessions Vol. 1’ is available on iTunes now. The release includes ‘Day Of The Dead’ as well as tracks such as ‘All Alright’, ‘Let It Rain’ and ‘The Muse’.
