Caribou, real name Dan Snaith, has had his Essential Mix named as the best of 2014.

The Canadian was up against strong competition from the likes of Bicep, Ten Walls and Jon Hopkins, but Caribou managed to edge it.

The Essential Mix Of The Year 2014 was judged by Pete Tong, B.Traits, Danny Howard, last year’s winner Eric Prydz and dance music editors from Mixmag, Resident Advisor and XLR8R.
