Mark Ronson has returned to Number One on the Official UK Singles Chart with his Bruno Mars-featuring track ‘Uptown Funk’.

The single previously debuted at Number One, but was displaced by X Factor winner Ben Haenow last week to take the Christmas top spot with ‘Something I Need’.

Now, Ronson has returned to the top of the chart, breaking his own UK streaming record in the process.

As the Official Charts company reports, ‘Uptown Funk’ was streamed 2.49 million times this week, breaking the previous record of 2.34 which the track set last week. ‘Uptown Funk’ is the only song in history to break 2 million streams in a week in the UK.

Meanwhile, in the UK Album Chart Ed Sheeran returned to the Number One spot for his twelfth non-consecutive week at the top with ‘X’. There were no new entries in the Top 50.

Earlier this week, Mark Ronson unveiled his collaboration with Tame Impala’s Kevin Parker, entitled ‘Daffodils’. The track is set to feature on Ronson’s forthcoming LP ‘Uptown Special’ alongside ‘Uptown Funk’.

‘Uptown Special’ is set for release on January 19.
